Disappointing Night at Lincoln Saturday Night

April 19, 2008
Lincoln Speedway

Still riding the high excitement from the top 10 finish in his Late Model debut, Bob and the team were psyched for the race. In practice Bob immediately realized that the track conditions made the car very loose. After practice the team went to work on tightening the car up. During his heat Bob found the car to be way too tight and he quickly found himself in last place where he finished.

After the heat the team went to work on backing up some of the adjustments made after practice and they prepared for the consi. Bob started 7th in the C Main and he went to make the pass on the 6th place car in turn one. But in turn 2 the steering locked up due to a part failure and he slide up into Bernie Beard ending both of their nights.

Late Model Debut Yields Awesome Finish

April 5, 2008
Lincoln Speedway

Saturday marked Bob's debut in the Limited Late Model series at Lincoln Speedway. The goal for the night was to qualify into the feature and the team went over and above their goals to bring home a solid 9th place finish.

In the heat Bob started in the 6th position. In the first lap he dropped back one position but quickly gained 2 more positions over the next several laps. In the closing laps Bob got passed once to end the heat in 6th.

In the feature Bob started in the 17th spot. In the first 2 laps Bob passed 2 cars before the first caution flag flew. Quickly after the restart he muschled his way past 2 more cars and battled for those 2 positions over the next sevral laps before the caution flag flew again. On the restart Bob lined up in the 12th position and made quick work of the 11th place car. He worked passed the 10th place car and in the closing lap Bob managed to squeeze by one more car to come home in the 9th position.

Out With The Old, In With The New

2008 marks a new chapter in Bob Stough's racing career. Soon after ending the 2007 in the Thundercars the team purchased a Late Model chasis. Over the winter the team worked tiredlessly to construct the #07 Limited Late Model racing machine. Bob's plans for 2008 include running the entire Limited Late Model schedule at Lincoln Speedway as well as a limited schedule at Susquehanna Speedway Park.

Keep checking back for updates on Bob's inaugural Late Model run. The team also purchased new merchandise that will be for sale to fans. Please check back for more information.

In 2008 we would like to welcome several new sponsors to the team. Keeney Masonry, Mirfin Excavating and Tap or Sleep have been added to the car for the 2008 season. Be sure to check the sponsors page for more information.

The 2008 season starts for Bob Stough on Saturday April 5 at Lincoln Speedway. Bob will be making his debut in a Late Model car.

The open practice at Susquehanna Speedway on Saturday March 29 was a success for Bob. The practice marked his first time in the Late Model car and after just a couple of runs he was looking like a natural behind the wheel. As the practice went on Bob began to get a better feel for the car and 2008 looks to be another great year for Bob. In all sessions of practice at Susquehanna Bob was only passed by one car.
