Lincoln Speedway
Lady luck started rearing her head for the 07 team at Lincoln this weekend. With a lucky pill draw Bob got a pole position for his heat and he went on to lead the first 6 laps before the caution flag flew. After the restart Bob left a little room inside which allowed for the 2nd place car of Mike Spangler to get under him and make the pass. Bob went on to finish 2nd in the heat.
After putting some work into the car between runs the team was ready for the feature. Bob started on the outside of row 4, in the 8th position. At the drop of the green flag he went to work on the 7th place car and by lap 3 he was able to make the pass. Next in line was the #81 of Bobby Beard and by lap 6 Bob was able to get by the veteran dirt late model driver. The race settled down a little over the next 8 laps as Bob held off drivers and went to work on the #21b of Travis Beaver. By lap 14 he was able to make the pass and begin to work on the 4th place car of Gene Knaub in the #1. He initially made the pass to get into 4th but Knaub wasn't willing to give up without a fight and the two drivers battled hard over the next couple of laps. On lap 18 Knaub was able to make the pass on Bob and the team came home with a 5th place finish for the night.

Trailway Speedway
Bob's team went into Trailway Speedway with a ton of excitement for the 2009 season. When Bob hit the track they found the car to be ill handling. In the heat race Bob started in the 5th position. Bob was immediately dealing with a car that just wouldn't turn, therefore he wasn't able to advance in the heat and finished in 5th. In the break the team immediately went to work on the car and threw some major changes to the car, including a spring change.
These changes coupled with a fast drying track led to more problems however. Bob started in 10th for the feature. On lap 3 Bob lost a position before the yellow flag flew for a wreck in front of him. Bob restarted 10th when the green flag flew. Over the remainder of the feature he was able to pick up 2 more positions to finish 8th. The car just wasn't right all night and the team was fortunate to get away with a top 10. Bob and crew still felt a little dejected considering all of the work that went into getting the car to turn better. But being only the second race of the season the team is feeling good for their 2009 season.

Lincoln Speedway
Bob and crew rolled into Lincoln Speedway Saturday ready to launch their 2009 season. In the heat race Bob started in the 9th position. He made quick work of the 8th place car before a wreck in front of him brought out the first caution. During the crash Bob was able to gain 2 more spots but soon after Bob said the car felt like it had a flat. He pulled the car in to find that the brake was stuck and the team fixed the problem. Starting from the pole in the consi, Bob managed to lead the entire field until a late caution flag. On the restart Bob began to feel the heat from the second place car of Bobby Beard who prevailed as Bob had to settle for second. The second place finish in the consi led to a 22nd starting position in the feature but as Bob lined up for the feature the car lost fuel pressure, ending the night for the team.
